App Icon & Launch Images

appdoo - Project Properties - App Icon & Launch Images

For a new project we have already created some graphics for the App Icon and the Launch Images. This allows you to start developing your app in appdoo for the first time. But of course you also want to use your own graphics at some point, which are perfectly tailored to your app.

In order to replace the predefined graphics, simply drag your new images to the corresponding field. Of course you can remove selected images. To do this, mark the corresponding field and then press the backspace button.

  • App Icon
Here you define the icon of your app. Simply drag the corresponding file from the Finder into the field. The icon must have a size of 1024 × 1024 pixels and be in PNG format. Further information on the design of the app icon can be found in the appropriate section of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.

  • Launch Images
Here you define the launch images of your app. Simply drag the corresponding files from the Finder into the fields. Depending on the selected project type, you will need images in the following sizes:

    • iPhone
      • 640 × 1136
      • 750 × 1334
      • 1242 × 2208
      • 1125 × 2436
    • iPad
      • 1536 × 2048
      • 2048 - 1536

All images must be in PNG format. For more information on how to design your launch images, see the appropriate section of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
